We operate
two flying fields, hold weekly meetings, organise indoor flying events, take off on slope soaring expeditions, and organise
presentations by noted speakers.
We have around sixty members at present, and have a few vacancies.
Prospective novice members
may, by arrangement, enjoy up to three familiarisation flights with one of our Instructors using dual control, prior to membership
being confirmed.
Ownership of a flying model is not essential at first: the Club owns and operates several training aircraft that
can be used until you have built or purchased your own model.
Membership is open to anyone (young or not so young) who is fascinated
by model aircraft, of whatever type. However, we are a Private Members Club, and applications for membership are reviewed by our committee.
Prospective members must be proposed and seconded by existing members of more than one year's standing.
If you are interested in joining
the Club then please
click here , to contact one of our committee members who will be happy to help with your enquiry.
Please make sure that you include your full postal address in the email. Then, you will receive an introductory pack of information,
including an application form, a list of current membership fees, and an invitation to come along to one of our Friday evening meetings.
This will enable you to decide whether or not you wish to join us, and also let us meet you. Whilst membership is open to all, it
is by invitation only. The Club is not open to the general public.
